A typical BGE solar installation moves through 6 key stages from signed contract to energization. Here’s what to expect:
We visit your property, assess your roof, and design your custom system. Timeline: 1 to 3 business days after signing.
We submit all required permits to your local municipality and HOA (if applicable). Timeline: 1 to 3 weeks depending on jurisdiction.
We order your panels, inverter, and all hardware from our supplier network. Timeline: 1 to 2 weeks.
Our crew installs your complete system. Most homes take 1 to 2 daysations. We handle all cleanup.
Local inspector verifies the installation. We coordinate scheduling. Timeline: 1 to 2 weeks after installation.
Your utility company grants Permission to Operate (PTO) and your system goes live. Timeline: 1 to 4 weeks.
Total typical timeline: 6 to 12 weeks from contract signing to energization. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Get Monitoring HelpCheck your system regularly for: daily/monthly production vs. expected, any alerts or error codes, battery charge level (if equipped), and net metering credits on your utility bill. If production seems low, contact us for a service check.
